Monthly In-person Workshops in High Wycombe

Every first Sunday of the month 16:00 - 18:00

Workshop begins with an opening circle, where participants introduce themselves or share how their month has been.
The facilitator then presents the topic of the day, which may include: unmasking and authenticity, workplace experiences, relationships and communication, understanding autistic traits, building social strategies, self-care and wellbeing, parenthood, ageing, discovering your strengths.​ Next, guided questions invite everyone to share in turn. We close with a reflection circle to summarise key takeaways.

To support comfort and focus, fidget toys and mindful drawing books are available for use throughout the session. Light refreshments and snacks are also provided. Workshops are kept small (around 10 participants), so please book in advance to secure your place. TO BOOK EMAIL - EFA.CHARITY@AOL.COM
On-Line Support Course for Females (10 Weeks)

Mondays 19:00 - 20:30

​Course aims to educate about autism and particularly how it present in women, digest diagnosis, devise strategies, improve wellbeing, build confidence and meet like minded women.​​
Inclusion criterion:
1. Females from birth
2. Diagnosed or self-identified after the age of 18
3. Live independently with little or no support
Weekly course structure

The session starts with the facilitator giving a background on the charity, the course overview and the facilitator’s personal story and experience in the area (just the first session).

Each participant introduces themselves in turn. They would share their name, other personal information they wish to reveal and their autistic story. It can include information about when they first realised being different, main challenges, diagnosis or self-identification status. Participants have the right to pass their turn to skip the introduction. When the group is over 8 people, introductions take place over several sessions. Once introductions are over, each session tend to start with Q & A.

The facilitator presents the topic of the day accompanied by slides. Participants can raise a question at any point during the presentation, and the facilitator can initiate a question to the group spontaneously at any point during the presentation to make it engaging. Topics include: education about autism, masking, motherhood (inner child), gender identity, wellbeing, devising strategies, ageing and going forward, relationships, wellbeing at workplace and more.

Group discussion relevant to the topic. The group might be broken down into smaller 3-4 person subgroups where appropriate. Some sessions may have practical exercises.
